I see from your screenshot that your Windows Update is downloading Windows 11 Insider Preview 10.0.26220.6690 (ge_release_upr).
Since you mentioned you are currently using Windows 10, here’s what’s happening:
- You’re enrolled in the Windows Insider Program. That’s why you’re receiving Windows 11 Insider Preview builds instead of normal Windows 10 updates.
- The build number (26220.6690) is a development release of Windows 11 (in the Insider Canary/Dev channel).
- Once downloaded, Windows will prepare the update and eventually prompt you to restart to install Windows 11.
Important notes:
- Installing this update will upgrade your PC from Windows 10 to a Windows 11 Insider Preview build.
- Insider builds can be unstable (they may contain bugs or unfinished features).
- If you don’t want Windows 11 Insider builds and prefer to stay on stable Windows 10, you should opt out of the Insider Program before restarting and installing.
If you want, I can guide you either to:
- Continue with the upgrade to Windows 11 Insider Preview (and what to expect).
- Stop the upgrade and stay on Windows 10 stable builds.
